All Seated in a Barn

All Seated in a Barn (ASIAB) is a nonprofit animal rescue based in Bakersfield, CA. They rescue horses and donkeys who would otherwise be shipped across the border to be slaughtered for human consumption. ASIAB provides rescues a soft place to land, medical attention, and a system that sets them up for success so they can eventually be adopted into loving homes.

THE CHALLENGE ASIAB wanted to reach a mass audience so they could educate the public on the horrors of the horse slaughter industry, and raise funds to rescue and rehabilitate more animals.

HOW WE GOT THERE We needed to connect with high profile people, celebrities, filmmakers, television producers, local, national, and international media to amplify the message of ASIAB.  We introduced the founder of ASIAB as a leading expert and advocate of the plight of horses and donkeys trapped in the slaughter pipeline. We connected her to other organizations that shared similar messaging so they could each amplify their platform and spread the message of the equine slaughter industry. We designed a media kit and created a six month targeted advocacy campaign that garnered the interest of celebrities, international publications, and local media.

THE RESULTS

  • 20 media spots ranging from radio, podcast, television, newspaper,  and magazines: National Geographic magazine (both online and print), USA Today, Authority Magazine, Medium, NBC news, Tickr News, Wake Up with Marci, Bakersfield News, The Horse Show, Fox News, Sentient Media, and more.

  • Two celebrity ambassadors: Jann Arden (Canadian singer, activist) and Blake Moynes (Activist and Reality Star)

  •  Fostered partnerships with other horse advocacy groups, including Canadian Horse Defense Coalition

  •  Documentary film (currently in production) working title “If Wishes Were Horses' by Eva Cohen about the plight of the horse industry

  • Featured on National Geographic website with article about horse auctions, with print edition coming soon.

  • Media following more than doubled in size from 12,000 to over 32.9K followers on Instagram.

  •  ASIAB brand established itself as a trusted, leading expert in the horse industry, earning the support of high profile journalists, celebrities, and the public.

THE CHALLENGE Olive Von Topp is a popular burlesque performer with a large following on social media but was struggling to reach empowerment coaching clients.

HOW WE GOT THERE We needed to find a way of merging her burlesque following with her new target audience. Our goal was to introduce Olive on national and local media as an expert on self-love, sex, and pleasure. We designed a targeted campaign leading up to Valentine’s Day. Olive shared her knowledge and expertise about a pandemic inspired Valentine’s Day, whether you were single or in a relationship.

THE RESULTS 10 media spots ranging from radio, podcast, television, newspaper, and magazine: The Live Exchange, Authority Magazine, Medium Magazine, CBC, The C-Suite, TIckr News, Virgin Radio, and more. THE CHALLENGE One of The Green Generation Company’s missions is to dispel myths about Cannabis, and educate the public about its benefits. In the Cannabis space The Green Generation is an established and well-known brand however, they were struggling to reach a wider, mainstream audience.

HOW WE GOT THERE Designing a highly targeted campaign, with the goal of establishing The Green Generation Company CEO, Malka Labell, as an expert on Cannabis on a mainstream platform.

THE RESULTS PR Campaign efforts garnered coverage on CBC Radio, Thrive, Authority, and Medium Magazines. In an in-depth profile, CEO Malka Labell described her journey from oil and gas executive to a Cannabis Entrepreneur to becoming one of the thought leaders in the Cannabis industry. With this profile, Labell gained international attention with a mainstream audience as well as capturing the attention of investors, and clients.
