Heyyyy everybody, welcome to my blog! My name is Eva Shortt and I am the founder of Zahav PR. We are an agency dedicated to bringing badass women in business in front of their target audience through harnessing the power of media. There are so many amazing, creative, beautiful, inspiring women out there who have a great product to sell, a story that needs to be told, a movement that they can inspire. If I can be even a small piece of their story to fame and success (however that looks for them) I am truly honored.
This blog will be a place where I will share interviews with inspiring women. I will also be sharing some of my favourite public relations hacks so you can start levelling up your own strategy TODAY.
A few things about me:
I am a huge animal lover, and although I do not have any at the moment I aspire to one day have a dog.
I am a mom to two boys which officially makes me a boy mom. I am surrounded by boy things all day long, which now that I think about it, is probably one of the many reasons why I love working with women;I have to get that feminine energy vibe whenever I can!
I am a wannabe burlesque dancer. Wannabe because I am choreographically challenged and yet have this dream of one day doing a gorgeous solo number in front of a huge crowd. Once this happens I will be able to ditch the “wannabe” and call myself a full-fledged burlesque dancer.
I got into the public relations business out of a love of helping friends and colleagues get press. People kept telling me I should just start doing this full-time but I didn’t want to since I was an event planner at the time and was just happy doing public relations for myself and my friends. I sure am glad I listened! Now I get to be creative all day long by writing, pitching stories, and coming up with strategies.
It has been a crazy road to get to the place of running my own public relations agency. From graduating with a BA in Anthropology to working as a professional matchmaker (yes that happened), film and tv production, social worker, event planner, and a few other things in between, I can safely say I have tried it all! My experiences led me to a place where I can finally say that I love what I do.
